Did you ever wonder what happens to the victims of really brutal crimes?
What happens to the person who survives being killed-actually being pronounced DOA?
What change takes place within that person?
Cloise Orand II
is one of those survivors.
His almost fatal, near-death experience at the hands of a serial killer/rapist profoundly changed the way he perceived the world.
“I’m not into that ‘bright light at the end of the tunnel’ idea,” says Cloise. “For me, life became too precious to waste on any kind of nonsense.
Suddenly family, choice, freedom, opportunity, honesty, generosity, and truth were all that mattered—the only things. But when I looked around, I realized what’s coming out of the pulpits and our politicians these days was more platitudes than enlightenment.”
To Cloise, our nation is at a crossroads and it has him worried.
“The agenda of most leaders is to keep your focus narrow, to have you follow orders and do as your told, to not question or think independently, to turn your back on science, to ignore truth, and to above all embrace their authoritarian mythology, ideology and lies. The poor guy or gal who challenges this is doomed.”
So Cloise wrote a book, inspired by his life and partly based on his research, which challenges the way today’s religious and political leaders seek to control us rather than serve us.
The result is “THE ANTICHRIST VERSION 666,” a fast-paced action-science fiction story based on the life of the prophesized Anti-Christ. But in Cloise’s take on it, the Anti-Christ is hero, not villain.
Cloise’s underlying concern is that our society is being kept hostage by today’s religious and political zealots who insist on peddling as truth the extremely limited view of the universe held by people more than two thousand years ago. And that deeply offends Cloise.
The author’s message is as clear as the Anti-Christ’s: Religion was created to distract humankind from discovering the wondrous truths and enlightening secrets of the universe. As Cloise sees it, those break-through scientific revelations are threatening to the powers-that-be. They’d rather have you believe their version of Biblical prophecies, astrology, or tea-leaf-reading.
Cloise grew up in an abusive family and found himself living on the streets at the young age of twelve. Kidnapped at thirteen and brutally attacked, he was found DOA from several knife and gunshot wounds. The paramedics were somehow able to revive him— miraculously he literally came back from the dead. Thankfully, at the age of fifteen, with the help of a loving foster family, he was able to turn his life around.
He learned the trade of carpentry, nurtured his entrepreneurial spirit, and went on to start a very successful construction company. Today, Cloise is a devoted husband and father of four. He went from being a homeless child eating out of garbage cans to owning several successful businesses with which he includes his family and friends. He loves to wake board, surf, skydive, play the guitar, and take on a good challenge. Cloise is a firm believer in a positive attitude enabling a person to achieve anything they desire regardless of their past. He now resides in Kitsap County, Washington.
